We aim to benchmark ourselves to the highest global sustainability standards. In 2023 we proudly received a Silver Medal from Ecovadis, one of the world's most reputable benchmarks. We have improved our score by 10 points from 2022 and are ranked in the 92nd percentile of all companies assessed by Ecovadis, which includes more than 100,000 companies spanning 175 countries.

Our approach goes beyond products too. We're developing smarter packaging from recyclable materials. So when you're finished with them, they can be used again and again. We're reducing the use of harmful plastics too, while working towards removing PVC's and expanded polystyrene altogether.

Just as our products are designed with sustainability in mind, so are the facilities that make them and the energy we use. Historical ways of manufacturing are outdated and not suitable to face today's challenges.
Doing things differently takes commitment. Our version of 'different' transforms how we make our products, and makes it easier for you to reduce your environmental impact.
Our plants in Nagykanizsa, Hungary and Lotte, Germany installed 645 solar panels delivering an estimated reduction of 227 MWh of purchased electricity per year, and an estimated saving of 69 metric tonnes of CO2e annually.1

In 2023, our facilities in EMEA invested $4.99M in capital expenditures for key ESG projects, for a total savings of 2,470t of CO2e.
When It Comes to Sustainability We’re Not Just Pushing Paper.
Across Resideo, we are working to reduce our use of paper, including a project to reduce the literature you receive with our products. Fewer manuals = less paper, less energy used to print them and less waste when you're finished with them.
In 2023, Resideo also partnered with Iron Mountain for a recycling assessment of ADI locations which showed that a total of 96.12 metric tons of paper was shredded and recycled in 2023. These figures translate into significant environmental benefits, including the preservation of 2,543 trees, avoidance of 112 gas-powered cars on the road per year and the preservation of approximately 201,305 gallons of water.3

In 2023, Resideo managed over 718 individual demand response events, shifting 8.6 GWH of energy to help keep powering communities.4
In 2023, Resideo water leak detectors helped stop 2.5 million gallons of water and prevented $2.9M in insurance claims.4
Resideo connected thermostats offset the energy use and emissions of 353,000 homes in 2023, saving 2.7 millions tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.5

We take pride in the fact that our portfolio includes 17 ENERGY STAR® certified thermostats, a testament to our commitment to energy efficiency. In 2023, these thermostats collectively prevented 2.7 million metric tons of CO2e emissions globally, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 353,000 homes. Notably, homeowners utilizing Resideo’s Honeywell Home T5/6 Pro thermostats saved between 8-16% on their heating and cooling bills, due to high use of the advanced scheduling features of these devices. 5
Life Beyond Landfill.
No one wants to see our products or packaging in landfill. We're committed to designing out pollution and waste wherever we can to create products that you can easily reuse or recycle.
Our innovations don't stop on our own doorstep. Whether we're working with our partners at ADI to refurbish and reuse thousands of discarded LTE radios, or collaborating with the Thermostat Recycling Corporation to save 9.6 tons of mercury from landfill, we're harnessing the power of partnership and collective action to ensure fewer of our products and materials end up on the scrapheap.

Building Future Talent to Build a Better Future.
In 2023, we continued our partnership with the Building Talent Foundation (BTF). The BTF focuses on addressing workforce shortages in the building sector by providing support, resources and initiatives to develop skilled professionals and connecting them with job opportunities in fields such as HVAC, security and plumbing. As a founding partner and social investor in BTF, Resideo implemented a College Partnership Program designed to aid technical students and faculty. This initiative furnishes partner colleges with current Resideo equipment, technical documents, pre-designed lab activities and offers job placement. Presently, the program has forged agreements with 11 colleges in North America and two in the U.K.
